Business Development Specialist
In 2026, John H. Smith III joined the firm as a business development specialist, continuing the agency’s fourth-generation family tradition. John is a graduate of Arlington High School, where he was a three-year varsity basketball player and captain his senior year, and of Union College, where he graduated cum laude.
Professionally, John interned with a tri-state congressman on Capitol Hill as well as with a local Dutchess County congressman. He then spent four years as an underwriter with Rokstone Construction Risk Underwriters, specializing in wood-frame builder’s risk insurance nationwide.
Outside the office, John enjoys spending time with family, traveling, skiing, golfing, and being outdoors.
